Ashley it will take sometime but you will begin to feel better.  For me I had to do the Humira once a week in the beginning.  because like others I would start to flar a few days before the infusion.  I also upped by B12 injections from once a month to bi-weekly and would do them on the same day as my Humira and it seems to help.  If you have been sick for awhile it will take awhile for your body to rebuild its stores enough for you to feel yourself.  I still sometimes get fatigued while on the Humira but sometimes I have to remind myself that even healthy people get drained from time to time.

I was wondering something about Humira could just be me, but when I was on Remicade for almost 2 yrs. after my infusion each time I would get a lot of my energy back, until 5 days before I was due again, next as I have written 10 months of Cimzia had to effect on my condition. So Humira worked very quickly for pain I had for so long in the gut, but I still have no energy back at all yet. I know I have only had the 6 inital doses & next one which will just be 1 shot next Thurs. so that will be 7 doses, I have B12 shots every month, take vitamins every day, I have to take script potassium every day, just don't have any energy? Did any of you get your energy back if when Humira worked for you?

Hi Amber. Sorry to hear Humira isnt working for you as well as you would like. You may want to talk to your doc about an alternative course of treatment.

I'd just like to add that Humira has worked wonderfully for me for the past year and a half that I've been on it. I hope researchers learn about what they got right, and improve on it for the next treatment for crohns. Also stem cell research for CD patients sounds really promising. They've already used stem cell treatment to cure legally blind people from corneal disease, and they can now see. cross your fingers people!!
