If you look at the 'Bookmarks' tab, I have added something new! Troy and Todd McManus, our We Are Crohn's friends,  are featured on Health Talk. Follow the link in bookmarks and listen in and hear their story. It's awesome!!

If you have Facebook, make sure you read this!! There is an application called Razoo Speed Granting. All you have to do is vote for the CCFA at the following link. The more votes, the higher the rank. Last time around we managed to get almost 800 votes and end in 3rd place, and we also raised some money for the CCFA. We MUST rank 1st-3rd place in order to recieve any money for the CCFA.  At this time we have 40some votes and are in 2nd place. I would love to keep it that way so make sure that you vote. By voting you raise awareness and hopefully money for research to ultimately find us a cure. Vote away!!

I am so glad to see that our community is growing!!! I've gotten some good suggestions for some sites and I went ahead and bookmarked a few more neat ones. It is great to see everyone is getting involved in discussions and checking everything out!

My favorite bookmark on here right now is the 'True Guts' site. I had heard of it before but never gone to it. Marybeth Lonnee, whom I met through this site, told me a little more about it and she really caught my interest. She was right! It really is as great as she made it seem. I also think that you guys will be impressed with it. There are different resources, trailers and testimony's within the site, and you also have the opportunity to purchase the DVD. I know that I am going to when payday rolls around. Hope you all enjoy!

 Stay healthy!

Just wanted to let you guys know I posted a new article. I noticed many of you talking about a treatment called Humira... I do not know a whole lot about this personally since I am treated with Remicade but I thought this may be good for those of you that are on or may be thinking about trying Humira. Enjoy!

Hey there everyone!!! I found this site and I just can't stop bragging on it. All that it is is a documentary. You can watch it online or order a free DVD. It follows 3 individuals... one with crohn's disease, one with plaque psoriasis, and one with rheumatoid arthritis. It pretty much shows each of their journeys with the disease. I loved it and ordered a copy for myself. It also gives tips on how to have your own screening. It pretty much gives you an outline and stuff if you want to show the documentary to a group of friends, family, or support group. Enjoy!!!

Take a look at the 'articles' and 'bookmarks' tabs within this community... I posted some new stuff!!

Hope everyone is in good health entering the new year!! I just wanted to say how excited I am that people are finally joining this community!! I'm glad that you all are getting involved in the discussions and what-not.... feel free to start your own discussions, post articles and bookmarks!

I noticed on one of the discussions a bathroom pass was mentioned... go to...

http://www.ccfa.org

Once you become a member you are eligible to recieve a bathroom pass... use it in line at a public restroom, for employee restrooms only, or hey, maybe if you get pulled over it could come in handy sometime. They have a lot of neat stuff on the site, and I'm pretty sure that the proceeds go toward research. I know that if you buy the 'got guts' bracelets a percentage of that goes toward research. Let me know if you all find any other cool stuff that I could include on here!

Hope everyone is enjoying the community, and I wish you guys a happy healthy New Year!!!!

Hola!! I found an article on ccfa.org and its about college life and dealing with Crohn's or UC. It's pretty interesting to me just because I am in that age group so feel free to go to the 'articles' tab and it's posted right there. It can apply to many people in different situations, not just college.

Have a healthy weekend everyone!!

I decided to make this 'community' becuase it doesnt seem like there are a lot of places online for our age group. sure theres ccfa and informational sites and all that but i want something where people can come and meet people around the same age that are going through the same things. maybe we will all find we have a lot in common!!!

Now post stuff and start some discussions already!!!
